Therapeutic benefit is at the heart of each and every one of our classes.
All classes are taught with attention to alignment.
Props may be used - including blocks, straps, blankets and chairs.
Everyone is welcome to any class but some classes
may be more appropriate for your level than others.

Yoga Basics - This class is for those who are brand new to a yoga practice, as well as those who have taken a few classes or want a refresher class. Students are immersed in the fundamentals of yoga. You will be instructed and supported in learning the process of safe alignment, breathing techniques and the use of yoga props. We will focus on building our practice from the ground up working on basic standing and seated poses, twists and simple backbends.
Open Yoga - Suitable for all levels of student from beginner to advanced practitioners. We will continue to work on basic poses but start to build on Sun Salutations, standing poses, twists, backbends and supported inversions. (New beginners are welcome but students with movement limitations should begin with Yoga Basics or a private lesson.)
Yin Yoga - Yin Yoga is a meditative, physical practice in which poses are practiced down on the floor and held passively for several minutes. These poses are meant to lubricate joints and trigger circulation in the connective tissues, as well as helping to maintain our natural ranges of motion as we age. The practice emphasizes stillness and silence, preparing the body and mind for deeper experiences in meditation.
Adaptive / Chair Yoga - During our lives and as we age, we all encounter physical limitations. But there is no need to limit all movement. Come practice a safe, fun and supported practice with or without chairs to create physical energy and mental calmness. This class is suitable for seniors of any age and for anyone working with physical limitation.
